As I celebrate another year of life, I can’t help but reflect on the past year and the changes it brought. It was a year of transformation, as Vicki & I made the decision to sell off 90% of our belongings, rent out our condo, and embark on a journey to discover the true meaning of “home”.

From the bustling streets of Malaysia, to the ancient temples of Japan, the vibrant culture of Korea, the stunning beaches of Thailand, and the exciting city of Bangkok, our travels took us on a journey of growth and change. Each destination left a lasting impression and taught us valuable lessons about the world and ourselves.

Along the way, I also made the decision to rebrand my online presence and drop the name “Love & Lens”. While I loved that pseudonym, I felt it was a mask that I hid behind. My goal now is to make better connections with my clients, both current and potential, by presenting ME! 🥰

Living away from Toronto, and I’ve been slowly prioritizing what’s most important to me in life and in this business. I’ve consistently doubted myself (hence the sporadic posting of work) and easily falling into an imposter syndrome state. I always knew what I had to break free from all this in order to succeed but I, myself, am my worst enemy.

I’m unlearning this terrible habit while living in Bangkok. Definitely a work in progress but at least, progress IS progress. I’m starting to focus on what I truly love doing and showcasing work that I’ve always hidden from the world. Continuing to create what I want to create despite of what many would say. Good or bad, I have to change my own narrative.

In a few weeks or months, I will be changing Love & Lens (@lovexlens) into something more personal... literally. No more hiding behind another persona and just have me be me. Website and everything is undergoing an overhaul to represent me a lot better. More on that to come! I’m excited for this change and this ‘announcement’ is a step in the right direction.

Extremely late post but happy new year (unless we’re using the lunar calendar 😅) but those who’ve been following my other account, may already know, we’ve had some unforeseen emergency over the holidays which changed a bit of our plans. To put it positively, it was a blessing in disguise. As we (Vicki really) recover, we’re now able to focus on what we sought out to do instead of continually finding a place to call “home.” Both @letgoletsgo and I are much stronger together especially after all this.

We’ve now settled in Bangkok and couldn’t be more grateful. We’re happy for the hospitality, care, great food and just a vibrant city life. We look forward to seeing friends, family and clients in Toronto this coming May!
